An exciting opportunity has arisen for Registered Nurses to join the Adult Burns Ward Team in the world renowned ST Andrews Regional Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, Bromfield Hospital in Essex.
The Burns unit has had Outstanding@ in their CQC inspection and is the regional centre, accepting burns patients from across the whole of the South East Anglia region of England.
You will manage a group of patients, supervised by senior member of staff who will support and encourage you to learn and gaining experience in this interesting and varied specialty.
This is to cover Maternity Leave of permanent staff
Main duties of the job
Are you able to providea high standard of individualised care to patients, whilst maintaining their privacy and dignity at all times.
In this role you will access, plan, implement and evaluate individual care of new patients, assisting in therapy for the patients and support the complex discharge management of the patients
You will assist with Extensive Wound care, including administration of oral sedation for procedures and be a useful, effective team member.
Assisting the Senior Sister in actively implementing initiatives outlined within the Trust's local Nursing and Midwifery and Patient Involvement & Experience Strategies
Actively participate in developmental opportunities, working creatively to develop andpractice new ways of working in collaboration with Senior Sister/Charge Nurse
