Job summary
Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant
18.75 hours per week and must include: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
A post has become available within the Essex Community ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) Service. This service is well-established and respected. It is a small, friendly multi-disciplinary team which provides a service to patients with CFS, fibromyalgia and other long term conditions throughout the whole of Essex. The team is based at the Tyrells in Benfleet, and you will be based with our Band 4 Administrator in the office.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant to fill this new role.
We assess and plan treatment for patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and work as a multidisciplinary team providing support and guidance for patient care. You will also be supported by our administrator to learn and understand the systems regarding patient records.
You will need to have some experience in the NHS already, either working in a hospital or working in the community. This is an ideal opportunity for an assistant to enhance their skills in working with the team providing on line support to patients in a group and helping with administration duties.
Main duties of the job
The main duties will be to support and gain training from the CFS therapists to carry out treatment plans as directed by qualified staff within the CFS team You will need to provide support to the CFS Groups organising groups and resources. To work with the CFS team in a collaborative way providing joint groups as an integral member of the team. You will also give advice, following training to a defined cohort of patients within the CFS service regarding fatigue. To provide administration support for the CFS team. To answer the telephone, book appointments and carry out administration tasks.
