Job summary
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for the an enthusiastic and committed Nurse to join our team of dedicated tissue viability nurses working in an acutesetting.
You will have post graduate qualifications ideally in both Leg Ulcer Management and / or Wound Management or be willing to worktowards successfully completing. You will have either at least 1 years experience working within a Tissue Viability Team or Leg Ulcer Service, or have evidence of other relevant and recent wound care experience.
You will be able to work both within a team and independently. You will support the other members of the Team to deliver high quality woundcare. You will support the Team in working with Ward based nurses to deliver high standards of pressure ulcer care to their patients, and workwith the Team towards meeting the objectives set out in the Tissue Viability Pressure Ulcer strategy.
Main duties of the job
To work within the Harm Free team for the provision of specialist tissue viability advice and exercise a high degree of professional autonomy with the support of the Clinical Nurse Specialist Tissue Viability CNS TV to make critical judgements using expert knowledge and advanced assessment skills in order to provide the highest standard of holistic care enabling faster and better care of patients with tissue viability across the site.
You will be expected to support the delivery of education and training, and clinical audit within the service maintaining, demonstrating and assuring compliance with the Health and Social Care Act, Care Quality Commission Regulation 12 Safe Care and Treatment, NICE guidelines and other best practice standards relevant to Tissue Viability and wound management.
The Tissue Viability Team at Broomfield Hospital is small but is part of the wider Tissue Viability Service across the Trust. The site based tissue Viability teams work closely together to ensure a consistent and equitable approach to delivering a high quality tissue viability service is provided for all our patients regardless of the Hospital site at which they are receiving care.
