Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for the position of Innovation Programme Manager. You will be working on specific programmes of work with MSE and the InSites Partner organisations. This programme is supporting innovation culture and function and this role will work within the hub team and with the site partners to support this.

The Innovation Programme Manager is a key leadership role with individual and functional responsibility for assuring, driving, reporting and tracking the successful delivery of innovative programmes of work. The Programme Manager role is critical in not only driving the delivery of the strategic objectives as identified for the programme of work with InSites, but equally in collaborating with other InSites organisations and partners to deliver our ambition to improve health and wellbeing for the communities we serve. You will be an ambitious strategic thinker who excels at building and sustaining partnerships to turn strategy into reality.

One of the key objectives of the InSites programme is to maximise opportunities to learn, improve critical mass for improvement, measurement and innovation, and enable cultural change and the Innovation Programme Manager is key to supporting these strategic objectives.

Main duties of the job

En sites from across England agreed to form the CEP InSites Programme to act as innovation test and evaluation sites using a peer learning approach. MSEFT is acting as the coordinating hub with a dedicated programme team. This process led to 15 pilots developing across the InSites with more in the pipeline reaching an estimated 500,000 patients.

Following a successful year one, the team has been commissioned to continue the programme into year 2.

The overall objective of the CEP InSites programme is to spread innovation, use the lessons learned to support cultural change in the participating organisations and influence national policy while offering peer networking for innovation.

The NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme

Anglia Ruskin University's Faculty of Health Education Medicine and Social Care deliver the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme on behalf of NHS England with MSENHSFT as a key partner on the programme.
