We have an exciting and challenging opportunity that has arisen for a candidate with an excellent background in clinical Haematology.
This post is based at Basildon hospital which has a dedicated Haemato/Oncology ward and a day unit chemotherapy service. Our innovative approach aims to deliver vertically integrated haematology services from the community, through to secondary and Tertiary care.
To assist Consultant staff in the management of adult Haematology patients, both malignant and non-malignant, in the outpatient, day case and inpatient setting.

Main duties of the job
You will also provide advice to doctors from other specialties and general practitioners in management of haematological problems.
You will regularly attend out-patient clinics including weekly lymphoma clinic and also perform bone marrow biopsies.
You will also undertake chemotherapy prescription and administration of intrathecal chemotherapy after successful completion of trust-approved training.
You will be encouraged to report blood films and bone marrow aspirates under close supervision of Consultant Haematologists.
