Job summary

Here is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an experienced MRI Radiographer - this is not a training role.

As part of our ongoing plan to invest in our workforce to deliver the increasing demand in MRI, we are offering the opportunity for staff to specialise in this area. Once appointed you will be working across the Broomfield service including satellite sites and Community Diagnostic Centre due to open at Braintree in 2024; the service will be delivered 7 days a week.

You will be a radiographer with MRI experience who can take responsibility for providing a high-quality MRI service to all patients, across a range of MRI imaging techniques, using best practice at all times. You will be keen to share your practice with our rotational radiographers - supporting their development.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to be proactive in their work, taking responsibility for the safety and care of the staff and patients within the MRI department and being able to take extra responsibility for the day to day running of the department if the modality lead/Band 7s are not present.

The role will include supervising training radiographers, student radiographers, assistant practitioners and visiting staff from other departments to ensure the department is working safely and efficiently.
