Patient Pathway Officer - General & Breast Surgery

Job summary

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic person to join the surgical department as a Patient Pathway Officer to support management of patients' journey through Breast, Colorectal and Surgical pathway.We are a busy, friendly, and supportive team looking for excellent communicators, who are able to demonstrate and promote high levels of customer care.

The right candidate will support the Patient Pathway Co-ordinators, clinical team, and other divisional managers in ensuring the speciality are able to deliver safe and effective services whilst also ensuring compliance with contractual access targets.

Main duties of the job

Negotiating appointment dates with patients and making any necessary arrangements.

Generating and sending of clinical letters to patients and GP's and generating filing cover sheets for sensitive clinical paperwork for scanning to ACP

Sending referrals to new appointments centre for booking and walking requests to various departments in the hospital. Also adding patients to the waiting list whilst maintaining an accurate and up to date filing system of patient related documentation.

Assisting the Breast and Colorectal PODS with general administrative duties and processing stationery ordering.
