Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse who is enthusiastic and motivated to develop in the role as Associate Clinical Nurse Specialist in Urology Benign service on a secondment.

A high level of clinical decision making is required for this post therefore sound theoretical and practical knowledge relating to Urology care is required from an experienced nurse who strives to maintain clinical excellence.

The role will involve daily coordination of the Urology service and caseload management of this group of patients within both clinic and ward environment.

You will need excellent communication skills be able to deliver education and advice to patients, carers and health care professionals and be able to demonstrate your ability to work and make clinical decisions autonomously.

Main duties of the job

You will promote and develop high standards of care and work within the Urology team supporting patients with benign urological conditions.

You will work in close collaboration with the Urology department and other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a safe and effective pathway of care. This will include providing care in the outpatient and ward setting and communicating closely with primary care services.

This role is ideal for any nurse with at least 2 years urological experience, with the drive and enthusiasm to be part of an expanding CNS service.
