We are currently looking for Band 6 Bereavement Midwife to join us and work alongside our dedicated lead Midwife for Bereavement to support her work and enhance the experience for families experiencing bereavement.

You will attend meetings alongside and on behalf of the lead midwife and take part in the governance processes that ensure safety and improvement for our service users and staff.

Main duties of the job
- To support the Clinical specialist providing verbal and written information to bereaved families and to support women and their families who have experienced fetal loss and/or childbirth related difficulties
- To provide support to midwifery and medical staff within the Directorate when caring for women experiencing a loss in pregnancy, stillbirth or early neonatal death.
- To act as an educational resource nursing, midwifery staff and maternity care assistants on physical, psychological and administrative aspects of bereavement care. In addition, this role is to provide support and training for staff in bereavement related issues.
