Job summary

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Nurses to join our Hand Trauma Unit B340.

Hand Trauma is a busy unit, accepting referrals from all over the region. The unit is used to see patients in clinic and recover day case surgery. We also have a minor operations room, training will be provided.

Hand Trauma is open 7 days a week all year 07:00-20:00. No nights. A mix of long days 07:00-20:00 and theatre shifts (11:00 -19:00)

Main duties of the job

Seeing clinic patients:initial assessments, observations, dressings, antibiotics, planning for theatre, follow-ups

Admitting and discharging main theatre patients

Scrubbing in minor ops for patients having local anesthesia

Managing referrals for new patients from over the region
