Job summary

To provide an effective occupational health and wellbeing service across the three Acute Hospitals within the MSE NHS Trust and external organisations, as contracted.
To actively participate and contribute to the development of a high quality Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service for all staff in the Trust and external organisations.
To proactively engage with all stakeholders in order to influence the health and well-being of the organisation and its employees.
To offer specialist advice on matters in relation to mental health and impact on occupational health and wellbeing
Main duties of the job
Conduct mental health assessments and screenings for employees referred by occupational health practitioners.
Assess individuals' fitness for work, taking into consideration their mental health condition and any potential workplace adjustments required.
Provide evidence-based recommendations on workplace accommodations, modifications, and interventions to support employees' mental well-being.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including the occupational health physician, occupational health advisors and counselors, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for employees.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for employees with mental health conditions, focusing on their recovery, resilience, and return to work.
Offer advice and guidance to managers and supervisors on effectively supporting employees with mental health challenges, including strategies for managing workplace stressors.
Deliver mental health education and training sessions to staff members, promoting awareness and understanding of mental health issues in the workplace.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, care plans, and interventions.
Stay informed about current developments in mental health research, interventions, and legislation, and apply this knowledge to the occupational health practice.
Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
