Job summary

This is an opportunity to join the Gastroenterology team at Mid and South Essex NHS Trust.

The role will specialise in Interventional Endoscopy supporting the delivery of ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound and stenting.

This role will be based in Southend Hospital, with the opportunity to work cross site performing interventional Endoscopy lists in Broomfield and Basildon.

The successful candidate will help to provide in-patient care for Gastroenterology patients on a 1:5 basis Gastroenterologist of the Week model.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work alongside the established gastroenterology consultants to support provision of inpatient & outpatient services, would join an on-call out of hours bleed rota.

The post holder will undertake teaching duties of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff and other professional groups (such as nursing and pharmacy).
