You will need very good communication skills to network closely with other departments and multidisciplinary teams, and excellent patient care to manage your caseload of patients.
Main duties of the job
Your role will be to access, plan, implement, evaluate, holistic, high quality and individualised care which respects our patient personal dignity and beliefs whilst maintaining a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff and promoting effective communication within the care team and with colleagues, patients, relatives and visitors.
Your role will be to provide and maintain the highest possible standard of nursing care including assessment and evaluation for patients in keeping with the philosophies of the endoscopy unit on which the procedures we perform include Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Bronchoscopy and more complex procedures such as ERCP and EMR with plenty of opportunities to develop your management, clinical and educational skills in this busy unit supported by very experienced senior nurses.
You will follow care pathways for patients undergoing an endoscopy procedure, ensuring pre, peri and post care is carried out to the highest standard, developing and maintain good unit management and organisational skills, assisting with the provision of an environment conducive to the education of staff.
Duties will also to include the cleaning, maintenance and safe handling of equipment
