A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated, experienced Registered Nurse to join our outpatient team on the Women's Health Unit at the Bradford Royal Infirmary. This speciality role will utilise your knowledge and skills to work as across the Women's Service and at on occasion at Westwood Park Community Hospital.
Main duties of the job
In your primary role will be as Lead Urogynaecology Nurse Specialist where you will assess and manage women with a number of bladder/incontinence issues.
You will be able to undertake clinics independently in percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation, bladder instillation assessment of prolapse and pessary management TWOC and urodynamics.
You will assist the medical staff in Outpatient Cystoscopy with the aim of learning the discipline of cystoscopy following attendance at relevant courses and supervised practice you may also assist in Urodynamic Studies and Perineal Trauma clinics and in telephone follow up clinics for post operative patients.
As an independent prescriber you will be able to assess patients, devise a treatment plan and manage patient care from referral until discharge, with support as required from the wider urogynaecology MDT.
You will be an excellent nursing lead for the urogynaecology service championing excellence in nursing practice and developing pathways to improve patient care and services.
You will support change and development and work alongside the Lead Nurse for Gynaecology and the Urogynaecology Consultants to ensure women have improved access to services and that improvement in quality of life can commence from the very first visit.
