Band 6 Sister - Transitional Care - Neonatal Services

We are seeking a passionate and experienced neonatal nurse to join our team as a Band 6 Sister. This Monday to Friday role offers a fantastic opportunity for an established Sister or a staff nurse with at least five years of neonatal experience to step into a leadership position and further develop their skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the team, ensuring high standards of care, and contributing to the smooth running of the unit.

A strong focus of this post will be on Quality Improvement (QI), making it ideal for someone with a keen interest in driving positive change and enhancing patient outcomes. You'll be supported by a collaborative and forward-thinking team, and have the chance to lead and contribute to QI initiatives that align with our service goals. Main duties of the job

  • Support newly appointed band 4 team and help to develop their role
  • Improve family experience
  • Start working on changes to develop a modern service that is proactive and adaptive.
  • Build on existing SOP's and guidelines.
  • Support existing band 5 team and develop their roles.
  • Ensure that high quality standards are maintained in terms of IPC and clinical practice.
