An opportunity has arisen to contribute to ongoing improvements as a interim Specialist Midwife . You will provide joint collaborative leadership and assurance . Together you will be playing a pivotal role in delivering education and training to increase the knowledge of our staff on the domains of this programme .
You will collaborate with the Multidisciplinary Team, share learning and develop action plans ,triangulating themes and identify areas of improvement
You will be jointly responsible for delivering programmes of education and training, perform audit and devise Quality Improvement initiatives, presenting findings through written reports and engaging presentations, to drive meaningful improvements.
We are seeking an innovative proactive seniorMidwife who can demonstrate a high level of specialised independent working . You will be organised, examine and interpret data, present findings locally and regionally.

Main duties of the job
The Specialist Midwife for Safer Maternity Care will jointly and collaboratively, co-ordinate the implementation of key domains within the Saving Babies' Lives Care Bundle (SBLCBV3) and any subsequent National Maternity safety drivers which may supersede or compliment improvements in maternal and new born health.
The key objective of this post is to triangulate data and deliver a programme of improvement to support the key objective of the care bundle.The Specialist Midwife for Safer Maternity Care will be a joint leader linking with the Consultants, department managers and workforce, to ensure that all Quality, safety improvements are agreed and implemented.
The role will collaborate and develop strong links with other Specialist roles who contribute to Quality & Safety. The post holder will work collaboratively, both internally and externally, communicating with agencies and user representatives. The successful candidate will be a representative on external forums, collating information in the required format, uploading data into the NHS Futures platform, ensuring that data can be easily accessed by key stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance is measured through completion of audits as required, ensuring the SBL programme directives are met, uploading to the required platforms, to meet timeframes
- Provide assurance to the Triumvirate , wider trust and LMNS that the requirements of the SBL care bundle will be met as required
- Work closely with the the Quality and Safety Matron, Head of Midwifery and Clinical Director to deliver the key components of SBL, linking with the other appointed Safer Maternity Care midwives.
- Undertake related Quality, Safety and governance activities within the maternity service as required, completing investigations within the maternity service as requested by the Quality & Safety Matron specific to the role.
- Meet on a regular basis with key staff to achieve compliance on individual element requirements
- Represent the service at LMNS/Regional and National level, specifically in relation to implementation of SBLCBV3 and PMRT as required.
