We are looking for an exceptional midwife for the position of PMRT specialist midwife to join the team at Bradford.
You are joining a team who are committed to strengthening our governance process to support the PMRT requirements. Our aim is to deliver sustainable outstanding care to the communities i Bradford.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in maximising partnership working with existing team members such as Specialist Midwives for Quality & Safety , Bereavement , Diabetes, Safeguarding and Antenatal screening, and Perinatal Mortality review leads, both within and outside of the organisation.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities will include leading on all aspects of PMRT and triangulating data to provide meaningful improvements, sharing learning and developing action plans.
Develop key relationships with stakeholders to support improvements
Track and follow up actions
Support and provide guidance to staff within the service in relation to patient safety to support PMRT
Contribute to the quality & safety agenda, linking learning into practice
Peer review at regional PMRT meetings

Work closely with the the Quality and Safety Matron, Head of Midwifery and Clinical Director to deliver the key components of PMRT to meet the National Maternity AgendaTo lead on all aspects of PMRT. To share attendance with others as an external member for PMRT peer revieTo support the service by linking with the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) manager, attending meetings as required.
Undertake related Quality, Safety and governance activities within the maternity service as required, completing investigations within the maternity service as requested by the Quality & Safety Matron specific to the role.
- Meet staff and share learning to achieve compliance.
Ensure compliance is measured through completion of audits I relation to PMRT. Ensure date is analysed and presented to meet timeframes
Provide assurance to the Triumvirate , wider trust and LMNS that the requirements of PMRT will be met as required
Work with the obstetric and neonatal teams to meet PMRT requirements
Hold responsibility to ensure the correct data is captured in the PMRT and the learning from reviews and annual data is shared widely with staff within the perinatal service , presenting findings at key forums
Produce quarterly PMRT reports sharing pertinanat Trust information.
Work collaboratively with the Professional Development Midwives, Bereavement team and the Maternity Quality & Safety Team to achieve improvements in maternal health and birth outcomes.
