We are recruiting for a Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO) and are seeking an ambitious and inspiring leader to join our Trust as we progress in our transformation & improvement journey. As a Teaching Hospital we are at the forefront of research, education & innovation in healthcare and are home to Bradford Institute for Health Research (BIHR). More than 60,000 Bradfordians are involved in life course studies such as Born in Bradford and Age of Wonder. Bradford was awarded nearly £7m to set up one of 20 Commercial Research Delivery Centres and will act as a regional hub for pioneering clinical trials, creating opportunities to test innovative new treatments with the latest equipment & technology. The DCOO is responsible for supporting the strategic delivery and leadership of Planned & Unplanned Operational services, whilst ensuring the delivery of high quality clinical services and the Trusts strategic objectives. The role of DCOO is a critical post for the Trust and will work closely with Corporate Operations Teams & Clinical Service Units internal to the Trust as well as partners across Bradford District & Craven Place and the wider ICS. Main duties of the job

The Deputy Chief Operating Officer provides strategic and operational leadership for the Trust's Planned and Unplanned portfolio, and for ensuring safe, high quality, timely and financially sustained clinical services. They will have a corporate leadership portfolio role which will include achievement of key constitutional standards, as well as wider performance issues, patient safety, quality and service transformation. Drive sustained improvements in operational performance, service delivery and the achievement of operational priorities.The post holder will be the designated deputy for the Chief Operating Officer ensuring that service delivery plans are seamlessly progressed and not compromised. Working closely with other members of the Corporate Operations Team and CSU Clinical Directors,the post holder will ensure that systems and processes are in place to comply with relevant legislation and governance requirements, linking with external bodies such as commissioners about service developments, performance and clinical care pathways.
