We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the team on F4 Day Case Unit at St Lukes Hospital where we administer intravenous infusions to patients from several specialties. We are looking for an experienced individual to complement our small, dedicated Staff team. The post will be 21 hours, the days of work will be Thursday and Friday, 10.5 hours each day, 07:15-18:15.

Main duties of the job

As a Health care assistant you will assist individual patients with elements of basic nursing care and the implementation of programmes of care under the direction of a registered nurse, including patient observations and urine testing. You will also contribute to the ongoing support of patients and their relatives. As part of your Health care assistant duties, you will be answering telephone enquiries, using the EPR system, communicating with the ward team, patients and relatives and have the ability to work on one's own initiative. The Health care assistant role is an important and integral part of the team it is essential you will have the ability to manage your workload efficiently and effectively.
