The main responsibilities of the post holder will be to undertake ongoing validation and audit processes to help ensure that administrative and clinical data related to RTT (Referral to Treatment) / 18 weeks pathways is "fit for purpose", i.e. measurement of the length of patients' pathways from referral to first treatment. This is a prerequisite for the sustainable delivery of the 18 weeks referral to treatment targets in the Trust.

The post-holder will be responsible for investigating errors and correcting records, as identified by EPR and for investigating patients' data where they appear to have had lengthy pathway waits. The role will necessitate working closely with a wide range of staff to ensure that RTT patient data is being recorded on EPR accurately with the aim to achieve 92% across all specialities.

Main duties of the job

Be responsible for the correction of Data Quality issues on the EPR system utilising the Trust RTT/Non RTT Pathway App, cleansing data, merging patient records and amending other data issues both manually and electronically. The job holder will have some involvement with Clinicians and Service Managers across the Trust to ensure that patients are treated in accordance with the Trust's policy and procedures. Take an active part in the validation of the 18week recording including Patient Pathways, Data Completeness, Admitted/Non-Admitted clock stops. Discussing any incorrect/inappropriate recording with the Tam Manager/Senior Medical Secretarial team.Ensure patients waiting times are validated and accurately reflected within the 18 weeks RTT guidance/policy. This will involve identifying and recording the clock starts/stops using EPR and System One systems including viewing patient records.To liaise with medical staff/Senior Management/Secretarial teams/booking staff to ensure accurate information is obtained and recorded.To highlight to the Team Manager any training needs identified via data quality validations of EPR or the 18week pathway.
