Due to internal promotion within Radiology & Imaging we have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Admin Team Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract/secondment (If you want to apply for secondment please discuss this with your current line manager).
The job holder will be responsible for the day to day management and functioning of the administrative and clerical service for the Radiology & Imaging service incorporating main x-ray at BRI, Medical Physics, Maternity ultrasound, Booking Office and reception at St Lukes and the reception at Eccleshill Community Diagnostic Centre.
The post holder will be supported by band 4 team managers and band 3 team leaders.
The job holder will be responsible for the day to day management and functioning of the administrative and clerical service for Radiology & Imaging. Acting as Line Manager the job holder will provide support to staff in delivering their duties as agreed with Directorate and Divisional priorities.
Responsible for ensuring the wide range of administrative duties are completed within agreed timescales and dealing with issues as they arise, escalating appropriately.
To ensure all patients are seen and recorded accurately with relation to National and Local waiting time standards.

Acting as the lead for managing recruitment, retention and selection of administrative staff including preparation of the appropriate documentation
The job holder will be responsible for the monitoring of the Radiology waiting list within the Radiology Information System (CRIS)
The job holder will be expected to lead by example in developing a professional set of behaviours to deliver an enhanced service
Foster a culture of service innovation and change within their teams
Lead their teams in the day to day delivery of their services against agreed service standards
Develop and be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive set of Standard Operating Procedures
Ensure all staff within their teams are managed appropriately
Ensure all staff within their teams have the opportunity to develop and progress and are supported through a robust appraisal process
Ensure their service is delivered within budget through efficiency and lean processes

- Experience of managing a team to deliver an exceptional customer service
- Minimum 2 years' recent management experience in the NHS
- Minimum 3 years' administrative experience in the NHS
- Minimum 2 years' experience managing patient pathways in accordance with National RTT guidelines
- Experience of planning and organising work allocation/delegation to team members to deliver a high quality performance within policy and service timescales.
- Demonstrate previous involvement in staff recruitment and selection; training and development; managing performance and attendance management.
- Experience of analysing performance data and for identifying ways in which the service can be improved at a service, team and individual level.
- Experience of working in the NHS environment
