An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic nurse to join the Macmillan Breast Cancer team to support the delivery of Breast Specialist Nursing care to patients across the Bradford region. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain and develop their knowledge of caring for breast cancer patients at all stages of the care pathway.

Main duties of the job

Liaises with line manager and MDT colleagues to support and develop their own skills and competencies in providing holistic care for patients within their specialist area.

  • Experience of working with breast cancer or Oncology patients.
  • Managing own clinical caseload

  • Experience and knowledge of breast Cancer
  • Clinical audit/research
  • Writing guidelines, protocols and standard setting
  • Experience of User Involvement
  • Experience working with black and ethnic minority communities

  • Skills in assessing and reviewing complex health problems.
  • Evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of MDT.
  • Able to work across professional boundaries within the Trust and externally.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility to meet service needs
