As a senior health care assistant you will work with the ultrasound team in maternity and on EPAU to ensure the smooth running of the department. You will be involved in assisting and caring for women attending for scans.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for assisting with the day to day running of the obstetric ultrasound department.
You will work with the obstetric sonographers, admin team and antenatal staff to ensure a safe, high quality service is provided to all women.
Attendance at the weekly fetal medicine MDT maybe required where you will be involved in making referrals to other trusts and arranging follow up appointments, as directed by the obstetricians.
Some experience of appointment booking would be an advantage but is not essential.
We require an organised, self-motivated individual able to prioritise and make decisions which affect patient care.
This is a patient facing role and as such we need a friendly, caring approachable person who ensures the service is consistently patient centred. Chaperoning for scans will be required.
You will be involved in quality improvement within the department.
