The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe and effective services within the Mortuary in line with national and locally agreed standards and Human Tissue Act regulations. The post holder will have delegated responsibilities for a range of operational activities, working autonomously, with most decisions being made independently based on experience and specialised knowledge.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and managing the day to day work of the BRI mortuary, adjusting plans as appropriate,and liaising with other BTHFT staff and staff from external agencies. Be a custodian of the deceased and have a high standard of duty of care.
