We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Endoscopist to join our friendly and expanding Endoscopy team.

You will play a vital role in delivering high quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services, ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and timely care. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy, modern unit with a strong focus on quality, safety, and innovation.

  • You will be a trained and JAG-accredited Clinical Endoscopist.

  • You have proven experience in performing colonoscopy and/or gastroscopy.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Endoscopist at BTHFT, you'll be at the heart of our busy and growing Endoscopy service, helping us deliver the very best care to our patients. No two days are the same, but your role will include:

  • Carrying out a range of diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy procedures to the highest standards.

  • Providing safe, compassionate, and patient focused care that makes a real difference to peoples lives

  • Working alongside a supportive team of consultants, nurses, and other professionals in a truly collaborative environment

  • Experience working in an Endoscopy or Gastroenterology hospital setting
  • Evidence of managing a caseload or care group in a clinical setting or responsibility for day-to-day supervision. Coordinating staff in a clinical setting or delivering delegated care to a group of patients undergoing clinical procedures.
  • Be a reflective practitioner, keen to embrace new skill set and act as a pathfinder for their organisation.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, audit or research.
