We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced Paediatric Clinical Scientist / Audiologist to join our large, friendly, multi-disciplinary Audiology team.

The Service has excellent links with a highly rated Newborn Hearing Screening Programme and the regional Cochlea Implant Service which are both based on the same Bradford Royal Infirmary site.

The service is extensively involved in the training of Audiologists having apprentices, BSc students and STP students. It has recently had an comprehensive renewal of Audiological equipment and is being supported by the Trust in working towards accreditation.

You should hold an MSc in Audiology or be trained to M level, have appropriate NHS experience consistent with your qualifications, and hold professional registration.

Main duties of the job

The post entails working as part of a multidisciplinary team providing highly specialized paedaitric audiological services, including advanced and complex assessment and rehabilitation of hearing impaired children.

The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a designated area of the service

  • MSc in Audiology with CAC/HTS, or STP Audiology or BSc in Audiology or equivalent and MSc Equivalence eg significant clinical experience and appropriate post graduate M Level modules/training
  • AHCS or HCPC Registration

  • Mentorship/Supervision qualification
  • Hold a full driving licence and has access to a car

  • Practical application of specialist knowledge in a clinical setting
