We are looking for an organised, motivated and enthusiastic Research Fellow to be part of an initiative which will have real impact for families.
Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, the Better Start Bradford programme (BSB, http://www.betterstartbradford.org.uk) commissioned multiple early years preventative interventions for young families between 2015 and 2025. Born in Bradford's Better Start (BiBBS; https://borninbradford.nhs.uk/what-we-do/studies/bibbs/), the world's first interventional birth cohort, was designed to provide efficient evaluation of these interventions and between 2016 and 2024 recruited over 5000 families from ethnically diverse backgrounds living in areas of high disadvantage. From 2025 to 2028 The National Lottery Community Fund have provided additional funding to undertake longer-term effectiveness evaluations to provide robust evidence of what works to improve children's outcomes.
Main duties of the job
This post will work alongside senior researchers in Born in Bradford and the University of York and have a key role in delivering these evaluations. The post holder will co-ordinate research projects and undertake data cleaning and quantitative statistical analyses as well as contributing to dissemination and engagement activities.
You will have knowledge of applied health research with experience in quantitative research methods and analysis.
