Applications are invited for the innovative post of Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine and Marie Curie REACT (Palliative Medicine) at the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a one-year fixed-term post. Applicants must have full registration with the GMC.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an OOPT for a Higher Specialist Trainee in Emergency Medicine to develop their skills in Palliative Medicine. Applications from post-CCT trainees will also be considered. It would also be suitable for medical or palliative care registrars with substantial acute experience. The Senior Clinical Fellow will contribute to the Emergency Department middle-grade rota for 50% of their contracted time. The other 50% of the time will be spent in Marie Curie REACT/Palliative Medicine.

Main duties of the job

Expectations would be:

  • Working in the Emergency Department at MT04 level
  • There will be the opportunity to participate in departmental teaching, quality & safety and quality improvement projects. Participation in a local or national audit is expected.
  • 20% of clinical time can be spent in an area of interest ie Paediatrics, Simulation, Teaching or Quality Improvement.
