Through strong leadership and effective management, the Clinical Governance and Risk Lead Nurse for Specialist Medicine will support the clinical business unit (CSU) with the co-ordination and delivery of the quality, risk and governance agenda required to ensure that a high standard of safe, evidence-based care is consistently delivered and evaluated.
The post holder will support the Deputy Director of Nursing, Divisional Clinical Director, Clinical Leads and CSU Senior General Manager in quality improvement initiatives and implementation of national recommendations. The post holder will co-ordinate internal and external reporting requirements in relation to risk management and governance.
The Clinical Governance and Risk Lead Nurse will have a close working relationship with the Associate Director of Quality and their team, representing the CSUs operational issues risk and governance at a senior level, and supporting the trust wide risk and governance agenda.

- Significant post registration experience in a range of settings with substantial experience at a leadership level.
