Senior Clinical Fellow Stroke Medicine

Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiasticSenior Clinical Fellow in Stroke Medicine to join our dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team here at Bradford Teaching Hospitals.

This is a 1year fixed term position and an excellent opportunity for a doctor with an interest in stroke care to gain further experience in a busy and well-established stroke service.

Main duties of the job

The main duties include day to day care of in-patients on the wards, clerking, planning investigations and management, attendance at outpatient's clinics and communication with colleagues in general practice.

The post holder will participate in the assessment and management of patients who are admitted to stroke medicine wards. They will also be expected to provide support to junior medical staff, advanced practitioners and the wider Multidisciplinary Team working on the unit.

Alongside the clinical work the post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to development of the stroke medicine service. They will be able to take a leadership role driving changes in the service as it develops to be able to deliver high quality care which meets the standards set out by the Royal College of Physicians. This will be under the supervision of the Clinical Director of Urgent and Emergency Care CSU and the Stroke Clinical Lead.
