We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the MSK & Therapies Clinical Services Unit (CSU) asDeputy General Manager on a 6-month secondment.
Working closely with the General Manager and the CSU Triumvirate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, effective, and high-quality delivery of services across the CSU. This includes supporting the achievement of operational targets in access, finance, and quality, while driving service efficiency and patient-centred care.

Support and represent the General Manager and the CSU across Trust-wide forums

Work collaboratively with clinical teams to maintain clinical safety, service quality, and business integrity

Main duties of the job

Support the General Manager in achieving all performance targets, developing and implementing sustainable improvements in collaboration with clinical and managerial teams across the organisation.

Lead on the operational delivery of services, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and high-quality patient care.

Drive and manage change initiatives to enhance service provision and meet evolving patient and system needs.

Influence strategic development within the MSK & Therapies portfolio, working closely with the Clinical Director, General Manager, and Deputy Director of Nursing.

Take responsibility for ensuring the CSU meets all local and national performance objectives and standards.

Oversee the management of key resources--including staff, estates, and budgets--as delegated by the General Manager.
