The Sister/Charge Nurse role will contribute to the operational management of a safe and quality service delivery at Westwood park Community Hospital. Management of the workforce, budgetary oversight, patient experience, recruitment and retention of staff and effective patient workflow.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate key leadership skills and evidence of professional development, as well as experience of working within the multi-disciplinary team to manage and facilitate, extremely complex discharge planning. Westwood Park is a busy 18 bedded in patient, intermediate care ward which manages mainly frail and older adults. Effective and efficient patient flow is essential and your role is to provide excellent nursing care and compassion in line with the rest of the team and promoting positive patient experience and outcomes.
The Community Hospitals are nurse led units and closely supported by Care of the Elderly Consultants from BTHFT, including the wider MDT of PT/OT and Social Workers, etc.
