An exciting opportunity has arisen to help shape the Pharmacy Admissions Service. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic registered Pharmacy Technician to become part of a team of pharmacists and technicians providing extended hours pharmacy services to the Trust's admissions units. This is a progressive band 4 to 5 post; however, applications from current band 5s are welcome. You must be a team player, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be keen to develop yourself.

Main duties of the job
- Work with members of the multi-disciplinary team
- Undertake ward-based dispensing to facilitate discharge from hospital
- Ensure medicines are in the right place at the right time
- Take drug histories and perform medicines reconciliation
- Educate nursing staff with regards to medicine matters on the ward
- Train junior members of the Pharmacy Department
- Prioritise workload

The role will involve working on average 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis between 8 am and 6 pm, over seven days per week, which may make the role attractive to those wishing to work longer daily hours over fewer days.
This role is critical to assist the efficient flow of patients, high rates of medicines reconciliation and to maintain a high standard in seven-day clinical pharmacy services.
