Welcome to MRI at Bradford!
We are currently recruiting Band 6 MRI Radiographers to join our MRI service at Bradford. The post will involve a flexible approach to working over 7 days and across our 3 sites - Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Luke's Hospital and Eccleshill Community Diagnostic Centre.
We have 4 scanners across our 3 sites, BRI - 1 Siemens Avanto Fit (due for replacement in the next 12 months) and a Philips Ambition X. At SLH we have a Philips Evolution and at the CDC a Siemens Sola.
All Radiographers are encouraged to complete the post-graduate certificate in MRI which runs yearly.

Summary of Experience/Skills/Qualifications required:
- BSc Radiography or equivalent
- HCPC Registered
- Experience in use of the Radiology Information system CRIS and PACS
Main duties of the job
- Ensure MRI safety at all times
- Patient centered care
- Understanding medical requests
- Safe and effective scanning of a variety of patient types and examinations in line with departmental policies and protocols.
- Safely administering IV contrast after completing a thorough questionnaire
- Correct moving and handing techniques used
- Use of ANTT and good infection control techniques
- Information governance to protect patients dignity and privacy

The Radiology Department at Bradford provides a comprehensive imaging service to support the wide spectrum of clinical work undertaken within the Trust. Our imaging work covers three sites, Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Luke's Hospital and Eccleshill Community Diagnostic Centre. We have a total of 4 MRI scanners. The successful applicant would be able to work flexibly over a 7 day week across the 3 hospital sites, dependent on service requirements. All major clinical specialties, with the exceptions of transplant surgery, neurosurgery and cardiac surgery are represented in the Trust.
