Qualified RPA and RWA to work on the bank - remotely to support trainee RPA's and RWA through the process of application.

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC Clinical Scientist registration - specialising in radiation physics
  • BSc (hons) in Physics or equivalent
  • MSc in Medical Physics or equivalent experience.
  • Radioactive Waste Adviser certificate
  • Membership of a relevant professional body
  • RPA and provide training support for RPA/RWA trainees

Experience

Essential

  • Sufficient knowledge and experience to act as the appointed Radioactive Waste Adviser and successfully complete applications for permits for use and disposal of radioactive materials.

Skills

Essential

  • Able to present information in a formal setting before large groups of people.
  • Capable of communicating empathetically highly complex information to patients, where there may be barriers to understanding.
  • High level of sensory and motor skills / manual dexterity required for the safe manipulation of high levels of uncontained radioactivity and the measurement of equipment parameters with a high level of accuracy.
