To transport food provisions and related equipment between Trust sites and departments in accordance with specified schedules.
Main duties of the job
PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Undertake the the transportation of food provisions and related equipment between BTHFT sites in a timely and professional manner in accordance with schedules.
Ensure all equipment is maintained to a high standard and kept in good working order, reporting any defects and accidents in a timely manner to supervisors.
Undertake regular vehicle maintenance checks, as required by the Vehicle Drivers Standing Orders, completing daily check sheets.
Undertake driving duties in compliance with the Highway Code and Vehicle Drivers Standing Orders.
Undertake any identified service training, as necessary.
Collect and dispose of waste from the catering department at SLH.
Undertake stores duties as required by the rota.
Such other duties at a comparable level of responsibility, as may normally be agreed with the job holder.

To undertake all necessary cleaning and disposal of rubbish of work area.
The postholder will be responsible for maintaining the Trusts vehicle in line with the Trust standing orders.
The postholder must be diligent at all times when driving, adhering to the highway code, to ensure the safety of others. The postholder will be involved in delivery of food provisions for at least 32 wards across all hospital sites.
Undertake stores duties as required by the rota.
Such other duties at a comparable level of responsibility, as may normally be agreed with the job holder.
Follow appropriate section of HACCP plan, as directed by supervisor, complete appropriate documentation as outlined in this plan.
Clean work area with specified materials and equipment, as outlined in work schedule, or as directed by supervisor.
Provide an efficient, polite and helpful customer service at all times
Deal with customer comments and complaints in a professional manner.
