A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, passionate, innovative and forward thinking Highly Specialist Dietitian to lead our adult inpatient team.
You will jointly lead a team of dietitians and dietetic assistant practitioners who support inpatients admitted to Bradford Royal Infirmary. You will have line management responsibilities and we are a looking for a supportive leader who can develop and grow our team.
You will drive forward existing roles and services, whilst seeking opportunities to develop and lead new opportunities in dietetics and across the Trust. Working with the other specialist team leads you will collaborate to ensure ongoing close working and development opportunities for dietetic services and members of the team.
Main duties of the job
You will have a range of experience from working in a busy hospital setting, and experience in critical care / parenteral nutrition and managing complex enteral nutrition is essential.
You will be the expert on nutrition in this field, and will seek opportunities to lead on service improvement, audit and research, using excellent influencing and communication skills to raise the profile of dietetics within the team and organisation.
You will jointly be leading acute services across a range of clinical areas, including adult inpatients, and outpatient clinics, both at Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Lukes Hospital. You may also be required to work across a range of other hospital/dietetic service/ community locations.
Applicants must be HCPC registered dietitians, who have obtained relevant clinical dietetic experience, and who are car drivers with access to a car.
We currently recruiting for 1 post but have 2 options for appointment (either Band 6 or Band 7)

Bradford's Nutrition & Dietetic Service is a dynamic team of over 50 Dietitians working in Acute, Community and Primary Care settings, supported by an excellent clerical team with good IT and library facilities.
Professional development opportunities exist within the Dietetic department; quality, effectiveness and service user experience are given high priority.
The post holder will be expected to participate fully in the training of 'B' and 'C' Placement student dietitians.
Bradford is a vibrant, diverse, multicultural city with a wide range of entertainment and leisure activities available locally. There are good road and rail networks to Leeds and the M62 corridor, and easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and the South Pennines.
