Come and Join our dynamic Medical Therapy Team.
We are looking to appoint a passionate, highly motivated, and proactive Specialist Occupational Therapist to work within our medical team working across the Acute Medical in patient wards.
You will work alongside a team who cover a range of in patient services including but not exclusive to the front door - A&E and Acute medical units, General Medical, Elderly, Respiratory and Oncology wards.
The team undertakes assessment and rehabilitation while an In Patient, planning discharge and follow up where appropriate working alongside our community teams to provide effective intervention and enhance the patient experience.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be supported by a Therapy Team of Occupational therapists, Physiotherapist, assistant practitioners and therapy assistants, alongside a wider multi-disciplinary team, including our Multi Agency Integrated discharge Team.
The department and team offers a wide range of experience. You will be encouraged and supported to develop your clinical, teaching, and leadership skills as well as contribute towards service development and service evaluation. The department has a strong commitment to CPD, a comprehensive IST programme and dedicated time for your ongoing professional development.
We provide a 7 day service and extended weekday hours at the front door which the successful applicant will be expected to contribute towards cover on a rota basis.
