Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for senior health care assistants to join our new acute surgical unit. Ward 5 will aim to enhance the patient experience and improve the patient's journey by expanding the current unit and will utilise hot clinics, diagnostic virtual ward and will have a minor procedure room.

Main duties of the job

The role will include co-ordinating hot clinics, assisting in the procedure room and leading and developing junior health care assistants.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, motivated staff with excellent communication skills to join our forward thinking and dynamic surgical assessment unit team .You must have a passion for delivering kind and compassionate care and be willing to learn and develop within your role. Recruiting capable and committed staff is essential to maintaining our high standards of quality, safety and patient experience.

An important aspect of the role will be promoting a positive, supportive working environment which values and supports staff. Good communication skills are essential and this will need to be demonstrated at interview. Individuals should be flexible and be able to demonstrate they are an excellent role model with the ability to develop positive and professional interpersonal relationships.
