Job summary

Are you an enthusiastic, caring and compassionate Paediatric Dietitian looking for a fantastic opportunity to develop your career?

We are looking for a dietitian with substantial clinical experience in paediatric dietetics, with experience, interest, and passion in supporting patients requiring enteral tube feeding at home, who will be able to take a leadership role within the team and work with our current paediatric HEF team to support and develop dietetic capacity in this highly specialist area.

Bradford Dietitians support 300 patients require enteral feeding at home, with the caseload growing over the past 5 years. The team are in need of clinical and operational leadership of this cohort of patients to ensure we continue to support this patient group. This role includes the direct care of a caseload of these patients, working with patients, their carers, district & community nursing teams, schools and the wider healthcare team to ensure the effective delivery of nutrition to support ongoing growth and development.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will be responsible for the mentorship and supervision of dietitians new to paediatrics in the field of HEF supporting in their learning and development, as well as supporting the development of our HEF services alongside our HEF team lead.

We have just commenced a new contract period, which includes additional nursing provision and you will be expected to work closely with the supplier, the company nurses and the community nursing teams to ensure that optimal care is provided. You will need skills to effectively manage your own caseload whilst at the same time manage priorities including service delivery, patient and professional demands. Experience of service development, implementation of pathways and integration with a MDT is desirable.
