Job summary
You will work on studies funded by the NIHR as part of the Yorkshire and Humber Patient Safety Research Collaboration (PSRC). The PSRC is a 5-year collaboration between the University of Leeds and BTHFT and one of six NIHR-funded centres for patient safety research across the country.
With support from Theme Leads, Senior Research Fellows, and a vibrant, established quality and safety research community that includes NHS staff and patients, you will contribute to the design and delivery of research that addresses local and national priorities for patient safety. You will be based in the 'De-cluttering (safely) for safety' theme, which explores how to reduce the burden to patients, staff and services of i) safety practices ii) medicines and iii) computerised alerts, without harming patients. The research conducted within this theme aims to enhance the existing evidence base relating to the emerging field of de-implementation (removing, reducing, restricting or replacing low-value healthcare) within patient safety. This will involve exploring how different contextual factors enable or inhibit de-implementation by working across a range of settings (e.g., primary, secondary and care homes). It will also involve designing interventions to replace existing ineffective interventions, and developing theoretical frameworks for de-implementation
