Band 3 Therapy Assistant Wheelchair Services Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy/Trainee Therapy assistant dependant on experience.

Bradford Wheelchair Services provide comprehensive care for adults and children with diverse physical needs. Our team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists focus postural assessment and work closely with families and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team. Our range of wheelchairs, from standard to complex are tailored to individual needs. Our goal is to support adults and children in achieving optimal mobility, posture, and overall well-being.
A British driving licence, access to a car and business insurance is essential for this post (reasonable adjustments will be considered).

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with OT, Physio and Assistant practitioner supporting service users with their wheelchair provision. The role of the Therapy assistant is to support the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team in delivering their interventions. The work is varied and will involve working in a clinic environment, schools, home, care, and hospital settings, the role will also involve admin and stock control.
The right candidate will have experience in working in health and/or social care or similar settings and have an awareness of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. The post holder will have excellent communication skills and can work effectively as part of a Multi - Disciplinary Team. The post holder will be required to complete delegated tasks independently, training and regular supervision will be provided.
We are looking to appoint an individual who has the appropriate experience and qualifications, the right candidate will able to demonstrate a passion for Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, a flexible approach and a drive to develop themselves and the service they work in. Candidates who do not have a level 3 qualification will be willing to work towards this.
