Brief Description of the Role:
We are looking for AN organised, motivated and enthusiastic Perinatal Project Administrator to take a key role in the recruitment of pregnant women into numerous projects being delivered by Better Start Bradford. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of an initiative which will have real impact on improving the life chances of families within Bradford. Better Start Bradford (BSB), a community partnership led by Bradford Trident, has been awarded £49 million from the Big Lottery Fund to help parents give their children the best start in life. Over ten years, a portfolio of evidence based projects will engage with approximately 20,000 potential beneficiaries, to improve the social and emotional wellbeing of the children, their communication and language skills and their diet and nutrition.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based within Born in Bradford's Better Start (BiBBS) Community Research team and will facilitate and co-ordinate the identification and recruitment of pregnant women living in the Better Start Bradford area into perinatal projects aimed at improving outcomes for them and their families. You will contact pregnant women to provide information that supports informed choice and personalised care and gain consent to share data with project staff. You will also work within the BiBBS team to recruit families into the BiBBS birth cohort study. The role will involve working closely with a wide range of community based practitioners and key partners including Better Start Bradford, BTHFT maternity services, Health Visiting and Family Hubs.
The post holder will have strong communication and organisational skills and experience of dealing with pregnant women and/or young families in a community/health setting. You will be computer literate and able to work under your own initiative to meet tight deadlines as well as having an approachable and friendly manner. The post is fixed term until July 2024 initially.
