Main duties of the job

We are seeking a person to specifically work closely with staff within our Renal Services at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to support data submission into the UK Renal Registry and, to help to manage and monitor clinical outcomes activity across the Trust.

Essential

  • Experience in Health Informatics within the NHS
  • Management information system experience
  • Experience in analysis of complex healthcare data to support clinical and managerial decision making.
  • Experience of communicating complex issues and data concepts to a range of people in a healthcare setting.
  • Evidence of collaborative working with other staff in different organisations to share best practice and drive forward similar agendas/ objectives
  • Experience in carrying out audits to a high standard.
  • Significant experience of managing and prioritising workloads.
  • Significant experience of using advanced IT skills, including knowledge of spreadsheets and MS Office Applications
  • Experience in data organisation, manipulation, analysis, interpretation and report production
  • Experience with NHS specific software e.g., ICE, PAS and PRISM, PROTON (or equivalent system) and hospital-based information.
  • Experience of audit and/or clinical audit programmes/projects

  • Experience working in data migration, data warehousing, and quantitative analysis.

  • Ability to analyse and interpret large and varied data from multiple sources and transpose into meaningful presentational summaries to inform end users.
  • Advanced and strong communication skills (both written and verbal), able to identify and translate key points from highly complex information and explain issues with clarity.
  • Ability to work competently with Microsoft Office software to advanced level with expert computer and keyboard skills, in particular, a thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to diagnose complex problems, situations and or information and make informed judgement to formulate solutions and recommend/decide on best course of action.
