This post will offer the post holder the opportunity to work as part of a Multidisciplinary specialist Hand team including Orthopaedic Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, an Extended Scope Practitioners, Advanced Nursing Specialists, Nursing staff, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
Referrals are received from Orthopaedics, Plastics, AED, First Contact Practitioners and GPs.
The teamwork as Hand Therapists which brings together the specialist techniques of scar management, splinting, advice on activities of daily living, joint mobilisations and rehabilitation exercises. Each person on the team has achieved competency in splinting, exercise provision and wound care to provide a high quality service to patients with hand and wrist conditions and injuries..
We have a structured CPD and supervision program. You will receive direct supervision from a senior hand therapist.

The post holder will be based within the hand therapy team in an out-patient setting at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
The successful applicant will also be responsible for the delivery of specialist hand therapy to support patients with hand and wrist dysfunction following acute injury, post-surgery and with long term hand conditions.
Summary of most important Experience/Skills/Qualifications required:
Candidates must have an Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Degree and current HCPC registration.
They should also have post graduate experience in hand therapy as well as recent experience working in the NHS.
