Reporting to the Chief Digital and Information Officer, the General Manager is responsible, in conjunction with the Deputy Chief Digital and Information Officer/Chief Technology Officer and the Clinical Informatics Leadership Team, for the development and implementation of systems and methodologies that enable the benefits of IT, Digital, Data, Intelligence and Insight to be delivered to care-givers, patients, their families and communities through the Trust's business processes and deliverables.
Main duties of the job
To provide professional general management assistance to the CDIO working in partnership with the corporate and operational colleagues to deliver a high quality and responsive support.
To ensure the CDIO office is managed effectively working through the CDIO, deputy CDIO and Clinical Informatics Leadership team on a day to day basis
To ensure effective channels of communication exist and are maintained
Act as a key link between CDIO office, Execs and the CBU management teams
To ensure the CDIO team demonstrates an open door policy
To work with CBU's and other corporate departments across the Trust, to establish excellent relationships, strong interface pathways and clear mechanisms for the escalation of priorities, the identification of immediate business challenges and constraints, delivery assurance monitoring, and the development of long term strategic objectives and plans.
Ensure that the digital programmes have clarity of delivery priorities, appropriate business case approval and resource plans to effectively delivery on time and within budget.
Ensure that sufficient overall programme approach and controls are in place, working closely with relevant heads of delivery to secure sustainable and impactful intended programme outcomes.
To work with the workforce to ensure the implementation of Trust policies related to IT, Digital, Data, Intelligence and Insight across the Trust and to ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and have appropriate training.
