RPA Technical Developer

Working Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Band 6 - 2 year fixed term.

This is an ideal secondment opportunity for a 2 year fixed term position; however you must seek approval from your current line manager that they can release you on a secondment basis before applying for this role.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Technical Developer to join Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's new Robotic Process Automation Project. The role will involve designing, creating, testing, implementing and maintaining robotic automation processes across the Trust to reduce time taken to complete repetitive tasks, improving care we provide to our patients. The post holder will be an integral part of this exciting project and will work closely with the Project Manager to implement new RPA processes across the Trust.

The successful candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values and the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is required to:

  • Collaborate with business and key stakeholders on end-to-end intelligent automation implementation from opportunity identification, requirement gathering, solution development, functional design and documentation in compliance with Trusts security policies. Identify benefits and solution options for consideration as well as recording critical success factors.
  • To communicate with 3rd party suppliers and other NHS users of RPA discussing workflow processes and aspects of RPA design.
  • Responsible for the design, creation and maintenance of robotic process automation solutions.
  • Ensure that RPA is developed in a professional manner
  • Provide accurate, consistent, comprehensive and professional advice on aspects of RPA and proactively manage and act as a specialist resource for the delivery of RPA
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to deal with complex and sensitive information and be able to cooperate, persuade and negotiate with managers, clinicians and staff when discussing issues around RPA.
  • Create roadmaps with clear initiative prioritization and execution plans.
  • Be accountable for quality of automations and user experience
  • Demonstrate autonomy and initiative, making decisions and judgements related to each assignment, reporting to and escalating to Project / Programme Manager as appropriate
