Facilities Assistant - Cleaning

Job summary

Our Facilities Department are looking for dedicated people to join the FacilitiesTeams to undertake the new ways of working, which consists of CleaningOperations. Our Facilities Assistant will be required to complete cleaning training inline with the National Cleaning Standards. They will be expected to carry out alltasks as per the daily cleaning schedules.They should be able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills, be preparedto carry out training and be able to work well in a team or on their own, be capable ofundertaking physical work on a daily basis and have experience of working withnursing teams & the general public

Main duties of the job

Ensure required cleaning standards are maintained in designated areas andreport relevant equipment faults and need for repairsRemoval of dust, dirt and debris from surfaces such as floors, walls, ceilings,fixtures and fittings, doors, ledges, glass and sanitary fittings by appropriatespecified methods. (i.e. colour-coded/mopping units/vacuum cleaners)Emptying and cleaning waste bins, refuse containers and replacing colour coded liners according to the Trust's Waste Policy, secure and dispose ofwaste bagsReplenishing supplies - toilet rolls, soap etcClean blinds and internal windows and change curtains as requiredCleaning and correct storage of equipment and materialsReporting relevant equipment faults and need for repairsLocking/unlocking doors and windows and turning on/off lightsAttend mandatory and essential training and periodic updatesObserving Trust Health and Safety Regulations, Policies and
