We have an exciting opportunity to join our motivated and dedicated team.
You will work as part of a team, responsible for delivering a range of activities to support clinical staff in delivering care and for ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable patient environment.
Main duties of the job
To ensure all specialist and general equipment is cleaned and decontaminated
To monitor the environment to ensure all areas are clean and tidy. Remove clutter, tidy notice boards. Participate in ward/unit environmental audits
To maintain stock levels in all clinical areas, liaising with material management staff to rectify any problems or shortfalls
Ensure that the day room and staff room are clean and tidy
Attend mandatory training and relevant study days to develop own knowledge and skills
Ensure compliance with policies procedures and clinical guidelines for self and others
Report any incidents, accidents or complaints to the nurse in charge of the ward, in accordance with Trust policy
To order equipment/stock on appropriate system to ensure all patients, in conjunction with the nursing team.
To liaise with procurement and top up team regarding stock control.
