George Earle is a 28 bed acute medical ward specialising in Stroke and also patients with neurological conditions and acute medical issues. We have 3 hyper acute beds to enable rapid stroke treatment to take place. You will work as a valued part of the MDT ensuring the delivery of excellent clinical care within the stroke unit environments, taking an active role in the assessment and care of our patients alongside the trained nurse and MDT.
You will be supported with a ward specific induction enabling you to understand the varied roles that make up the team, alongside stroke specific care, and how you fit into the team

Working clinically you will support the team to provide safe and quality care to the designated patients in your care, and to support the ward as a whole as needed.
Following training you will undertake various clinical tasks including Cannulation and Venepuncture, Wound Care, taking vital signs and escalating any issues, recording them accurately, performing ECGs, blood sugar checks and adult assessments including MUST scoring.
